Blender Grease Pencil Perspective Tools

While this legacy version has been discontinued, it has been patched for Blender 4.0. Give it a whirl and let me know if there are any issues!

A simple set of perspective tools for Blender Grease Pencil, with the goal of reproducing some of the assist features of tools like Krita.

1. Customizable One-Point and Two-Point Perspective Generators
2. Two-Point Perspective Drawing Assist Tool

Installation:

Like any other Blender add-on. Click Edit -> Preferences -> Add-Ons -> Install. Select the downloaded file and click Install Add-On. Select the checkmark (you may need to search for "Perspective Tools for Grease Pencil" in the search box if you don't see it.

Settings Guide:

• One or Two Point Perspective
• Line Count: How many lines are drawn for One Point Perspective
• Line Width: How thick the perspective grid lines are
• VP Distance: The space between the two generated vanishing points
• Line Spacing: Spacing between grid lines
• (re)Generate Perspective: Generate the perspective based on the configured settings.
• 2PP Assists: Creates a guide that extends from the Two-Point Perspective vanishing points to the mouse.
  If the Two-Point Perspective grid has not been generated, the vanishing points will be generated based on VP Distance.
  This should help draw and check perspective. ESC to cancel out of assist tool.

Quick Notes:

• Please see the embedded videos for a quick overview of the tool.
• Please have a separate Grease Pencil object to draw on. IE: Don't draw on the assist objects themselves.
• This is tested on Blender 3.1+, but mostly with 3.2+.
• The perspective grids are normal grease pencil objects, and can thus be freely moved around and manipulated like other blender objects. The exception to this is if you plan on using the Assist Tool, as that will force standard rotation.
• This is my first script, I've tested and accounted for as many bugs as I was able to find, but please do let me know if you run into issues.

Known Issues / Limitations:

1. THIS IS MY FIRST PYTHON SCRIPT/BLENDER ADDON
   Please don't use it on your only copy of that blender file you've spent months working on, as I can't be responsible for any issues :)
2. The Assist Tool will rotate whatever grease pencil object you have selected.
   If you need to rotate your grease pencil objects, do so after using the Assist Tool.
3. While using the Assist Tool, autosave is disabled.
   This is a Blender limitation, but I may look for a way around this in the future.
